Dan McCleary: Oaxaca is a 2021 exhibit at the Fisher Museum of Art which says: "Twenty-two years ago, Los Angeles artist Dan McCleary was introduced to Oaxaca by friends and fellow artists, James hd Brown and Alexandra Brown. Two years later, he committed himself to work with legendary printmaker Fernando Sandoval. He found himself challenged by etching techniques that were new to him. The colorist painter of Los Angeles here dedicated himself to creating mostly black and white works in etching and aquatint. "Dan McCleary: Oaxaca" is an exploration of this 20-year (and ongoing) experience of printmaking.?" Accessed 6/21

The Etchings of Whistler and His Circle is a 2017 exhibit at the Portland Art Museum which says: "Drawn from the holdings of the Portland Art Museum and local collections, this exhibition presents etchings by Whistler and artists who were influenced by his lyrical, atmospheric style and delicate tonal harmonies. Whistler's views of Venice, in particular, enthralled generations of etchers, as seen in the work of Otto Henry Bacher, Frank Duveneck, James McBey, and Joseph Pennell, among others." Accessed 8/17

Fine Lines: Whistler and the American Etching Revival is a 2017 exhibit at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art which says: "This installation of American etchings celebrates Whistler's achievements. It also showcases the wide-ranging possibilities of etching during the American Etching Revival of the late-19th and early-20th centuries and beyond." Accessed 12/17

Mildred Bryant Brooks: The Art of Etching is a 2020 exhibit at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, University of Oregon which says: "With a keen eye for detail, exceptional technical skill, curiosity, and empathy, Brooks brought to life the forest, desert, and ocean landscapes of her native California, reflecting on the symbiotic relationship between nature and humanity."
