The Open Road: Photography and the American Road Trip is a 2018 exhibit at the Telfair Museums which says: "The Open Road: Photography and the American Road Trip explores the photographic road trip as a genre. It traces the rise of road culture in America and looks at photographers on the move across the country and across the century, from the early 1900s to present day. Presented chronologically, the exhibition considers nineteen photographers for whom the American road was a muse." Accessed 6/18

South Beach, 1977-1986: Photographs by Gary Monroe is a 2019 exhibit at the Frost (Patricia and Phillip) Art Museum, Florida International University which says: "In 1977, Gary Monroe embarked on a decade-long project to photograph the aging Jewish community in South Beach. He had grown up around this community and sought to capture the vibrancy and slow decline of this close-knit neighborhood."
