Volunteer time contribution
TFAO's website was built largely through the efforts of numerous volunteers over many years. To learn more about TFAO's volunteer opportunities please click here. Since TFAO's inception, one individual has continuously served as director, providing overall management and leadership on a volunteer basis. The following paragraphs explain the tasks and estimated time requirements of the director.
Core volunteer time requirement
TFAO's online Topics in American Art, other Catalogues, National Calendar of Art Exhibitions and Reports and Studies are the most important service features performed by volunteers. Core functions, as of 12/21, require the following estimated monthly average time commitment:

In addition to the core and ancillary minimum time requirement estimated above, the director may elect to contribute additional time to manage volunteers for special projects.
