Frank Coburn
by Bradley J. Delaney
Living in the western United States,
he was essentially insulated from the artistic revolution
which swept through Europe and America's
northeast in the early part of the twentieth century. Nonetheless, Coburn
was profoundly influenced by the Impressionist movement, which prepared
the ground for more developed forms of modernism in many ways.
