Frank Coburn

by Bradley J. Delaney

"The House I live In,"

by Frank Coburn - Typescript in the artist's estate.

'Tis low, old and shabby;

With whitewashed walls outside;

A roof of faded orange

Showing rust from fog and tide.

The porch in front, so very low,

Is level with the ground,

The boards are loose and mingled

With scattered leaves around.

The gate is off its hinges,

And leans against the fence

Which is hidden by the shrubbery

In a tangled mass and dense.
