Chronicling both the Civil War and the history of this country are the Civil War Gallery and the American History Gallery. Featured in the Civil War Gallery is a series of six equestrian portraits by the French artist L.M.D. Guillaume. The portraits are of P.G.T. Beaureguard, Jefferson Davis, Stonewall Jackson, Joseph E. Johnston, Robert E. Lee, and John Singleton Mosby. Events and leaders of the Civil War are depicted in paintings, sculptures and documents.
