The Thacher Gallery, donated by Mary and Carter Thacher in 1997, mounted its first exhibit in the winter of 1997. The Gallery serves as a bridge between the new Geschke Learning Resource Center and the University's Gleeson Library, leading visitors past the richness of diverse ideas, cultures and aesthetics along the way. The Thacher Gallery is dedicated primarily to presenting art exhibitions from visiting artists, USF's art and rare books collections, and student and faculty work. It is also a venue for educational exhibits that compliment ongoing campus discussions of themes relating to the University's mission. The Thacher Gallery at USF is located in the Gleeson Library/Geschke Center at 2130 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA 94117.
For hours and admission fees please see the Gallery's website.
Why was this sub-index page prepared?
When Resource Library publishes over time more than one article concerning an institution, there is created as an additional resource for readers a sub-index page containing links to each Resource Library article or essay concerning that institution, plus available information on its location and other descriptive information.
Unless otherwise noted, all text and image materials relating to the above institutional source were provided by that source. Before reproducing or transmitting text or images please read Resource Library's user agreement.
