- This increasingly powerful tool enables online reading of content in
books through special searches. Google Book Search allows people to search
the text of a large number of books to find ones of interest and learn
where to buy or borrow them. See Google's page About
Google Book Search to learn about the full features of this free service.
A Google Book Search conducted December 6, 2006 located 7,410 pages from
"full view" books and 162,000 pages from all books with the phrase
"American art." In a more narrow search for "George Inness"
there were 228 "full view" pages and 1.580 "all books"
pages.
