Online Audio - Benefits

 

Live presentations in a brick and mortar room are lost for future use unless they are recorded. Museums can record for posterity the spoken words of artists, relatives of artists and others who have a special connection to art works. Audio recordings convey a presenter's personality, vocal tone nuances and mood that cannot be gained through transcripts.

 

Member and press relations, visitation decisions, service to the visually-impaired and online shopping are all facilitated by online audio.

 

Online audio presentations are available at the convenience of the audience instead of the presenter. They are available for replay 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year to audiences worldwide.

 

Online audio presentations can be unlimited in length of time and can be played in the same fashion as a DVD. Segments can be paused, played or replayed and are searchable by Web search engines such as Google

 

Online audio does not result in bandwidth problems on the part of users; clips can be easily played using "dial-up" connections with low bandwidth.
